Hey, darlings! Despite only have three days of school this week, it felt jam-packed! I overall am doing alright, but I am feeling a LOT of emotions, which I think seems normal given my current situation. Hope you all are holding up! Now onto the letter...

Who knows!!

I laughed so hard when I read this the first time

I genuinely am curious about this one
What if we kissed 😳 in the Zoom breakout room😳
Okay... Well not actually. BUT I have recently run into a problem. Over the years I have developed the habit of ending almost every phone call with my friends with "love you!" no matter if I am asking them their chipotle order or if we had a heart to heart conversation. This routine may seem harmless, I mean it's important to remind people you love that you love them.

Now in my virtual college experience, I am thrown into Zoom Breakout rooms with my peers constantly (10+ times per class if it's Spanish). This is where the problem arises, even in the calls with complete strangers, I still have the reflex to say "love you!" before leaving the breakout room. I am embarrassed to say I have done this more than once. Now I beg you the question, what would you do if a random classmate said that to you?
How to recover from an awful night's sleep (claire style)
Alternative title: my Saturday morning
Step 1. After a night of tossing and turning (and tears?) bite the bullet at about 4:00 am and embrace the fact that you won't be sleeping. Possible activities: make and incoherent Tik Tok that you will later delete, rewatch Big Mouth episode, walk around your house aimlessly, etc.
Step 2. Get glam!!! For me, this was channeling my inner Pretty In Pink Molly Ringwald with this funky slip dress, and wearing some pearls.
Step 3. It is probably 5:30 or 6:00 by now, so out the door, you go! Drive around town and wait for the sunrise, bonus points if you blast Lorde <3
Step 4. Go to the cafe and order a drink (treat yourself girlie!!). I recommend taking on a character at this point, even if you aren't interacting with anyone (same energy as walking apart from your family at an airport so strangers think you are a mysterious young professional).
Step 5. Self Timer photoshoot!!!
Step 6. Nap 3 hours in the afternoon.
The News from Hanken Drive (What's Up with Grandpa)

Following that chaotic early Saturday morning, I took a trip to Grandpa's house!

Grandpa spends a lot of time sitting on this brick wall, so much that his neighbors know him for it.

On Sunday I visited him again and brought him this cookie.

I found some old pictures of Minty's at his house

We looked at them together.

Minty rafting with her cousin.

Minty graduating Redwood.
Sunny Day in the City

On Monday I got to see my gorgeous friends, Connor and Lucy!!! This ended up being the last day in the Bay Area that did not feel like an apocalypse!! Last time I saw a blue sky!! It was great to catch up with the lovely people :)
What the Bay Area looks like for those not here:

From my window, at about 9 am

My last time running (on Thursday), too much ash and It gets in my eyes when I run.
Ooh La La!

Annika painted this beautiful Milky Way! I love it so much.
Quarantunes

Here are some songs from the 2000s movies that defined my childhood and I have been blasting non-stop recently
Me Vs. The World by Halo Friendlies- This song is not only the soundtrack to Freaky Friday but also my life!
Good Life by Leslie Mills- This song was in What a Girl Wants and Annie choreographed a dance to it for me.
Vacation by Simple Plan- This song is in New York Minute, iconic. Just iconic.
Dirty Little Secret by The All American Rejects- This song is in She's The Man! Love it sooooo much.
Hey Now by Hillary Duff- It is a crime that this Lizzie Mcguire gem is not on Spotify
That's all for this week!!! Love you all more than you know.
xoxoxo
